In 2023, we supported The Woodfield Pavilion with the installation of an air source heat pump (ASHP) and secondary glazing. The ultimate goal was to show, by example, how other community establishments and local residents, including small scale private sector landlords, can introduce new, greener technologies to power their homes, community centres and rental properties, thereby saving money and helping to reduce negative impact on the local environment.
Collaborators and funders
This project was funded by the London Community Energy Fund, the Oak Foundation and Wandsworth Grant Fund, together with donations from the community.
Technology used
- Air source heat pumps
- Secondary glazing
Additional benefits
We've worked with Woodfield Pavilion to host regular energy cafés where our trained energy advisors provide free energy advice and support with bills, benefits and more.
The Pavilion intends to run training sessions on how to install, operate and live with a heat pump. In addition, TWP works with partner organisations, such as a new higher education provider - TEDI-London, members and volunteers to produce educational material and run engagement events to enable the transfer of knowledge and confidence to the wider community about ASHP installation and benefits.
