Our mission is to make South West London a shining example of a low cost low carbon energy future in the capital. We use a community-led model to deliver energy efficiency and renewable energy projects across South West London boroughs.
CREW is a registered Community Benefit Society with the Financial Conduct Authority (register number 7286). We are a voluntary group of committed volunteers living in south-west London who care about making this corner of the capital a more resilient and sustainable community. By helping community groups and individuals across the borough access low carbon solutions, we’re helping to reduce the carbon emissions of the capital.
The benefits are huge. Lower carbon emissions. Lower energy costs. Increased awareness and education of sustainable living. Stronger, more connected, more resilient communities.
We raise funds to support these projects from a mix of foundations, grants, crowd funding and local investors. Any surpluses we raise through our work are directly invested in programmes promoting sustainable community well-being. We know many residents are at risk of fuel poverty across SW London, so we are committed to ending fuel poverty through working with communities most at risk.
This model is already operational in other London boroughs and throughout the UK. Find out more about the network of community energy groups.
