Our mission
Our mission is to make London a shining example of a low-cost low-carbon energy future. We champion innovative solutions to deliver energy efficiency and renewable energy projects, and to alleviate fuel poverty across London boroughs.
Our values
CREW Energy is not affiliated with any political party or organisation. Our aim is to deliver community-led renewable energy and to reduce both energy demand and fuel bills. We believe this work can and should be separate from party politics. We therefore welcome members, investors and partners from across the political spectrum.
Our model
CREW is a registered Community Benefit Society with the Financial Conduct Authority (register number 7286). We are a group of committed volunteers and part-time staff, predominantly living in south-west London. We care about making the capital a more resilient and sustainable place to live. By helping community groups and individuals across the city access low carbon solutions, we’re helping to reduce London's carbon emissions
This model is already operational in other London boroughs and throughout the UK. Find out more about the network of community energy groups.
Our funding
We raise funds to support these projects from a mix of foundations, grants, crowd funding and local investors. Any surpluses we raise through our work are directly invested in programmes promoting sustainable community well-being. We know many residents are at risk of fuel poverty across London, so we are committed to ending fuel poverty through working with communities most at risk.
The benefits are huge. Lower carbon emissions. Lower energy costs. Increased awareness and education of sustainable living. Stronger, more connected, more resilient communities.
