meet the team

We are a team of volunteers working to bring community energy to Wandsworth and surrounding boroughs. We not only bring a huge amount of passion and enthusiasm for community renewable energy but also a wealth of relevant experience to succeed.
Toby Costin has worked in the energy industry for 14 years. He runs a company that develops sustainable energy programmes for third sector organisations. Toby feels that community energy has an important role to play in working with the third sector, to lift people out of fuel poverty and to make them more energy literate.
Yunus Emre Nas is a recent Environmental Science graduate who is passionate about the environment and climate change. Keen to put his knowledge and skills in to practice, Yunus hopes to make an impact through CREW and help make London a more environmentally friendly and sustainable city.
Paul White has lived in Earlsfield for 26 years. He was a founding member of CREW, having been inspired by Brixton Energy/Transition Town and the three projects there to install Solar panels on social housing, involving the community in all aspects of the installation. He played a major part in two workshops aimed at raising awareness of damp issues and energy conservation on a social housing estate in Earlsfield. Paul set up and ran a successful football club (Tooting and Mitcham Juniors, then Hampton and Richmond Juniors) in the Wandsworth/Merton/Lambeth area for 15 years. He is a member of Earlsfield Business Network. In August 2016 he was elected a councillor for Tooting ward in Wandsworth.

VOLUNTEER WITH US

We are a voluntary group and always looking for new members to help make south-west London more sustainable. We welcome people from all backgrounds and fields. If you are passionate about the environment and would like to join us, or find out more, contact us using the form below.

We meet on the first Monday of the month in different locations around the borough of Wandsworth and communicate through online channels such as Slack and Zoom.

We're particularly looking for new members to help CREW:

- Hand out leaflets for our phone advice line in south-west London (Wandsworth, Merton and Lambeth)
- Broaden our reach across south-west London to find new community organisations to support
- Increase our public profile through social and traditional media
- Manage the delivery of energy projects with community partners

We look forward to hearing from you!
