New Unity and CREW Energy are working in partnership to dramatically improve the heating performance of their Upper Street building.
In summer 2019 New Unity and CREW Energy won a funding grant from the Islington council's Community Energy Fund to make the building more heat efficient. The project will install a Building Management System (BMS) and introduce Hydromx within the heating system to save the charity a forecast 40,000kWh, 9 tonnes of C02e and around £2000 per year.
CREW will also run energy cafe advice sessions with members of New Unity to help them save money and carbon over the coming winter.
The project was fully delivered in November 2019 and our energy cafe will take place on 26th January 2020.
