The project
We'll be installing a 64 kW air source heat pump system at Devas Club youth centre off Lavender Hill, saving a grand total of 17 tonnes of CO2e per annum, which adds up to a £962 saving on their annual energy bill! In return for your investment, you will:
Not only will this share offer support a local pillar of the SW London community, it will also help to fund the CREW fuel poverty outreach programme, bringing greater social justice to our borough. How long will the offer run for?
The offer will be open from 14th December 2020 until 21st January 2021, or once we have reached our target (whichever comes first!).
How much can I invest?
You can invest from £250 up to £5,000.
How much interest will I get?
We are aiming for 3% annual interest for up to 20 years but remember, as with all investments, capital is at risk and returns are not guaranteed.
Where does CREW get the money for interest payments?
We will generate income in two ways: from the Government's Renewable Heat Incentive scheme and from a heat charge payment from Devas Club.
What return can I expect if I invest £250?
Our model assumes we will pay a small portion of capital back each year, starting from year 3. This means you get your capital back to invest in other important causes, but also give you a little more flexibility should you wish to withdraw your funds.
