The workshop was busy. Local residents, all ages, came and shared impressions, had their questions answered and learned a lot.
Our speakers were Angela and Giles. Each was impressively knowledgeable and full of enthusiasm about their subjects. They packed so much into the short time they had, making sure that every minute counted. We locals, including our M.P. Sadiq Khan, found it well worth the time taken from a busy Saturday morning. We identified specific cold spots on the estate, places where the uninsulated fabric of the building sucked in the cold, and places where blocked off ventilation led to condensation and damp build-up. Tips, including using Blutak, or the Poundland version, to fill draughty cracks made good sense. Let’s hope this workshop is the start of a process where we share knowledge and expertise to improve the quality of life in the neighbourhood.
